I couldn't find Pat Boone's original of "Stairway to Heaven", musta been disappeared by the Ledstapo.
UPDATE
I obviously meant that "Stairway to Heaven" line as a joke but look here:

Also this.
Just for the hell of it, here is Pat Boone's version of "Stairway to Heaven"

Nice collection. See also Dylan, who borrowed copiously from (for instance) Red Sails in the Sunset (Beyond the Horizon), The Parting Glass (Restless Farewell), The Patriot Game (With God on Our Side), Down on Penny's Farm (Hard Times in New York; and arguably sorta kinda Maggie's Farm), Titanic (Tempest) ... the first & last were out of copyright, the last two probably acceptably traditional too, but the second and third were pretty questionable, in that he nicked both melody and theme. And yet (a) Liam Clancy just laughed; and (b) I'd argue Dylan improved both. It eeez a puzzlement.
ReplyDeleteIt was very useful for me. Keep sharing such ideas in the future as well. This was actually what I was looking for, and I am glad to came here! Thanks for sharing the such information with us.
